Frequently Asked Questions.
Common questions about light box selection, structures, graphics, customization, installation and project delivery.
Product Basics.
Which LED light boxes do you manufacture?
We support custom production across multiple light box types, including Light Guide Plate fabric light boxes, Light Guide Plate snap-frame light boxes, standard snap-frame light boxes, crystal light boxes, magnetic crystal light boxes, soft-film light boxes and slide-in poster light boxes. These can be customized for commercial advertising, retail stores, chain-brand projects and larger installations.
What is the main difference between Light Guide Plate light boxes and standard soft-film light boxes?
Light Guide Plate fabric and snap-frame light boxes use an edge-lit structure. They are thinner and are designed to provide more uniform illumination with fewer visible LED hot spots, making them suitable for shopping malls, elevators and higher-end retail environments.
Standard soft-film light boxes are commonly backlit, can be produced in larger sizes and are often selected for 3C stores, automotive showrooms, large retail façades and exhibition graphics.
Crystal, slide-in and smaller snap-frame light boxes are commonly used on counters, desktops and walls where compact advertising and easier graphic replacement are required.
Which applications are the different light box types suitable for?
Light Guide Plate fabric light box: elevator halls, shopping-mall corridors, office corridors and long retail image walls.
Light Guide Plate snap-frame light box: chain stores, medical-aesthetic spaces, exhibitions and cinemas where graphics may need to be changed quickly.
Standard snap-frame light box: simple advertising applications where lower cost and convenient graphic replacement are priorities.
Crystal / magnetic crystal light box: bars, checkout counters, display counters and desktop posters; the magnetic version allows tool-free graphic replacement.
Slide-in poster light box: beverage shops and menu-board applications where graphics are changed from the front or side.
Standard soft-film light box: 3C stores, automotive showrooms, exhibition halls and large advertising walls.
Materials & Specifications.
What panel material is used in Light Guide Plate light boxes, and how durable is it?
Light Guide Plate light boxes use laser-dotted optical Light Guide Plates. PMMA acrylic is commonly used for indoor applications. The structure is designed for stable, uniform illumination and can be customized in overall thickness according to the project.
Can you customize irregular shapes, curves and non-standard sizes?
Yes. Different light box types can be customized in rectangular, square, circular, curved, chamfered and other non-standard forms. Large-format structures can be designed as joined sections, while smaller countertop versions can also be produced according to project requirements.
Graphics & Installation.
How do graphic-replacement methods differ between light box types?
Magnetic crystal light box: the magnetic frame can be opened directly without screws or special tools.
Snap-frame light box: the aluminum profile opens from the side so the poster can be replaced.
Slide-in poster light box: the old poster is pulled out through the reserved slot and a new graphic is inserted.
Light Guide Plate fabric light box: the fabric graphic is tensioned around the frame and is better suited to installations where graphics are not changed frequently.
Standard soft-film light box: the soft-film graphic is tensioned into perimeter channels and is commonly used for large-format graphics.
Can the light boxes be wall-mounted, suspended or floor-standing?
Wall-mounting hardware is available for the product range. Larger Light Guide Plate fabric light boxes and soft-film light boxes can support suspended installation. Smaller crystal and slide-in poster light boxes can also be used with floor-standing supports. Installation accessories can be supplied with the product.
Lighting & Lifetime.
Is the light harsh, and can brightness be adjusted?
Light Guide Plate light boxes are designed for more uniform and softer illumination with fewer visible LED shadows. Dimming power supplies can be added where required, allowing brightness to be adjusted for different retail and commercial environments.
How much power do the light boxes use, and how long can the LED source last?
The light boxes use low-voltage LED light strips. The source FAQ states that, under normal use of around 12 hours per day, the LED source can reach more than 50,000 hours. Laser-dotted Light Guide Plates do not use printing ink.
Customization & Purchasing.
What information should be provided for a custom light box?
Please provide the light box type, length and width, installation method (wall-mounted, suspended or floor-standing), graphic material (soft film or photo paper), whether dimming is required, estimated quantity and any non-standard drawings.
Do you support samples? What is the sampling lead time?
Samples are available across the light box range and are produced using the intended production process. The source FAQ states approximately 3–7 days for standard products and 5–10 days for oversized or irregular customized versions. It also states that sample charges may be returned after a volume order.
What is the minimum order quantity? Are volume discounts available for chain stores?
The source FAQ states that a single sample unit can be produced for volume-order evaluation. Chain-brand and engineering orders can be quoted by quantity tiers, with support for phased delivery to multiple store locations.
Can printed graphics be supplied together with the light box?
Yes. Soft-film graphics, UV-printed photo paper, 3P fabric and other graphic materials can be supplied together with the light box so the product and graphics can be packed and shipped as one set.
Packaging & Lead Time.
How are the frame and graphics protected during transportation?
Aluminum frames are protected at the corners and wrapped with protective materials. Larger products can use reinforced wooden packaging with water-resistant protection. Products are inspected before shipment. The source FAQ states that transport damage can be handled through replacement parts or remanufacturing.
What is the typical lead time for a standard custom order?
The source FAQ states a typical lead time of around 2–3 weeks for standard customized light boxes. Oversized, irregular or engineering-volume orders should be confirmed with the sales team, and expedited scheduling may be coordinated during peak periods.
Options & Support.
Can Light Guide Plate light boxes be used for outdoor storefronts?
For outdoor applications, the source FAQ recommends a thicker waterproof soft-film light box. Where an ultra-thin Light Guide Plate structure is required, waterproof aluminum frames and waterproof LED strips can be evaluated for rain and outdoor exposure.
Can you provide smart control, synchronized lighting or RGB color-changing light boxes?
Yes. Smart dimming, remote switching, RGB color-changing control and timed power control can be configured for exhibition spaces, retail environments and other projects requiring dynamic lighting effects.
Are environmental-compliance documents available for project bidding?
The source FAQ states that the LED light sources and panel materials comply with RoHS environmental requirements and that test reports and qualification documents can be provided for commercial and project bidding use.
